CRYPTID CREATURE CASE FILE: Loch Ness 🌅
Origin: Loch Ness, Scotland
Characteristics: A large, aquatic creature, commonly referred to as “Nessie.” Descriptions vary, but it is often depicted as a plesiosaur-like creature with a long neck, two pairs of flippers, and one or more humps protruding from the water. Its skin is said to be dark gray or greenish.
Fun Fact: The first modern sighting of the Loch Ness Monster was in 1933, when a couple reported seeing a large creature in the loch. The famous “Surgeon’s Photograph” from 1934, which was later revealed to be a hoax, is one of the most iconic images associated with the legend.
