Characteristics: A large, winged humanoid creature with piercing red eyes. It is said to have a wingspan of up to 10 feet and can fly at great speeds. Its body is often described as being human-like, but with a bird-like face and massive wings. It is often seen as an omen of disaster.
Fun Fact: The Mothman legend is most famously tied to the collapse of the Silver Bridge in 1967. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the creature in the months leading up to the tragedy, leading many to believe it was a harbinger of the disaster.
